This week we’re going to look at the Wisconsin Farms Oral History Project. As with many of the projects we’ve examined this fall, I want you to think critically about what artifacts, formats, and media the writers include to tell their stories. And, as always, use rich details from the reading to support your answers.
- Select one of the farms to examine.
- How does this farm fit into you preconceived notions of farming in Wisconsin? If it doesn’t explain why.
- What kinds of artifacts do the authors use to tell their story? How are they effective? Or ineffective?
- If I asked you to add on artifact to your oral history, what would you add and why?
