We are going to start with one of the founding documents of the United States, The Declaration of Independence. In many ways, this document is the heart of what makes the US what it is.
To explore this document further, answer the following questions. Do your best to answer them with full sentences and specific examples from the text. However, also remember that this is an informal writing response. You won’t be evaluated for grammar/spelling.
- After reading the Declaration, what surprised you most?
