Weekly Curation Nine: Community

Our communities are rich with stories and history. For some of us, our family has deep roots in the town. Maybe we built the church or a local road bears our name. For others, we’re new immigrants who have connections through our language and culture. For others, we share a passion for a game, film, or art. Perhaps our community is a new family of choice because where we came from isn’t good for us. Regardless, you have a community – whether it’s physical, social, or cultural.

For this curation project, tell us a story about a community that means a lot to you. Use three to five artifacts (any medium) that tell that story to someone outside of that community.

Your project should contain the following:

  • A catchy title
  • A brief (50- to 100-word) description of the project
  • 3 to 5 artifacts with accurate attribution
  • A one sentence caption for each artifact
