Check out Regiane Folter’s “Feminist Zines Are Still Alive and Well” from FBomb and the Women’s Media Center. In your small groups, please answer the following questions: 

• Why does Folter provide a brief history of zines? How does this inform her argument? 
• What role does the internet play in zines today? 
• How is telling your own story (through zines) important to the feminist movement? 
• Folter closes her essay with a quote from Jonathan Valley, editor of Broken Pencil Magazine:  “Do it, don’t overthink it. Put your first issue out and see how it makes you feel.” How does this make you feel about creating your own zine?
